Unemployed in Angola to Get Free PRIMAVERA Training

Initiative supported by two Government Ministries runs from 29 September to 9 October. Applications accepted up to the 15th of this month.

For the third year in a row, PRIMAVERA BSS, a Portuguese technology company specialised in developing management solutions, will offer free training courses in Luanda for the unemployed and people looking for their first job. The initiative will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., September to 09 October, at PRIMAVERA’s installations in Luanda. The goal is to transmit information technology skills, especially those related to PRIMAVERA solutions, which suffer from a serious lack of qualified human resources.

The training programme called "Essentials for Understanding PRIMAVERA Software” has the support of the Ministry of Public Administration, Labour and Social Security (MAPTSS) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MCT) and consists of two weeks (30 hours) of intensive training, during work hours, with theoretical and practical components in the main modular areas of the PRIMAVERA ERP (commercial, financial, and human resource management, among others), plus a more technological side.

Sérgio Lopes, Country Manager of PRIMAVERA Angola, highlights the importance of this initiative at a time when the Angolan economy is going through a difficult phase, and it could even become an engine of employability. In the words of this company official, "In the current economic environment, I believe this training can make a difference, because it will endow these professionals with a positive difference in a field where the difficulty in hiring qualified resources is so well known. We believe that in this way we will be contributing not only to the participants' employability, but to the productivity of companies themselves, who will more easily find the resources with the necessary skills in PRIMAVERA management technologies.”

The training sessions will take place at the installations of the PRIMAVERA Academy in Luanda, located at Rua Eng.º Armindo de Andrade, Nº 63, 1º Andar Direito, Miramar. This training programme is the responsibility of the PRIMAVERA Academy, the training unit of the Portuguese multinational dedicated to the dissemination of skills in the core areas of PRIMAVERA management software, used daily by thousands of Angolan companies, among them major companies such as Cuca, De Beers, Escom, Ghassist, Oxbow, and Somoil, to name a few.

Applications are being accepted up to 15 September, and the number of places is expected to be limited (subject to a pre-selection process). Interested candidates should fill out their application form on the PRIMAVERA portal at:
