250 managers debate impact of Angolan Tax Reform

The new tax rules that went into effect at the end of 2014 in Angola were the theme of the events held by PRIMAVERA in Luanda and Lobito. The two sessions brought together about 250 managers and financial directors of companies from all areas of activity in the public and private sectors.

The seminars were held last June 4 in the Hotel de Convenções of Talatona, in Luanda and on June 8 in the Hotel Terminus in Lobito. During the events, the participants had the opportunity to understand in more detail the alterations to the Labour Law in Angola, especially in regard to the Tax Codes for Tax on Earned Income (IRT); Industrial Tax (II); Stamp Duty (IS); Consumption Tax (IC); Tax on Earned Income (IRT) and Capital Gains Tax.

The sessions were led by consultants from PRIMAVERA who are specialized in tax and labour law and who have a thorough understanding of Angolan law and the reality of this entrepreneurial sector. They were therefore able to give a detailed vision of the impact of the Tax Reform on the companies’ business activities.

At the close of 2014, a large number of legislative alterations went into effect under the Angolan Tax Reform, and new developments are expected in the near future. The PRIMAVERA solutions simplify the response to these alterations, through mechanisms that ensure rigorous and speedy compliance with organisations’ tax obligations.
